Event Mission
The Professional Staff Association (PSA) of the University of Toledo is an organization of professional staff in various administrative capacities throughout the University. The PSA has many goals, projects and responsibilities that directly affect the UT campus community. In a fund raising capacity, it is our goal to raise scholarship dollars to directly benefit UT students annually. Through the Scholarship Scrambles event it is our goal to raise funds specifically to support the scholarship account and to cover the cost of producing the golf scrambles event.
Promotional Donations
There will be Gold Level hole sponsorships locations available for sale at a cost of $100 at each location (tees & greens). The sponsor will be permitted to display a banner (3’ x 6’max.) at each paid sponsorship location. 100% of the sponsorship fee will go to the scholarship fund. If the sponsor does not have a banner to display, PSA will provide one.
Scrambles Event Description
The event took place at 1:00PM on Friday June 9, 2006 at Whiteford Valley Golf Club and followed a scrambles format with a shotgun start. The cost for each golfer was $70. All golfers were required to pay this fee to participate. A menu of other donation options was given on the day of the event for purchase to assist in lowering scores, purchasing extra shots, a yard of string to extend a shot, and so on. 50/50 raffle tickets were also available for purchase. All par 3 holes in the event were offered the opportunity to win one extra beverage ticket for each member of the foursome. All golfers had the opportunity to enjoy dinner and prize awards following the event.
The scrambles event is open for participation by students, faculty, CWA, UTPPA, and PSA staff members, alumni, and the public in general. Participants entering as a foursome will remain as a group; the organizers will group individual participants as they are received.
